Our Story

Before LUMA became a roastery,
it was just a quiet idea —
that good coffee doesn’t need to shout to be heard.

It started simply.
Not with a fancy machine or a perfect plan.
We didn’t start as coffee experts.
We started as seekers, following aroma, heat, and heart.

LUMA, A Name with Direction

We named our roastery “LUMA”
LUMA combines two ideas:
“road” and “horse” in Chinese.

To us, it means:
Two symbols of movement, focus, and strength.

Every roast is a continuation of that journey: guided by respect and purpose.

What We Believe

Coffee doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.
It just needs to be honest.

We believe every cup can carry a story,
if we roast with care and serve with humility.

This is why we roast in small batches.
Why we value transparency over hype.
And why, above all, we let flavor be the loudest voice in the room.

We believe coffee is a medium, not just a beverage.

A medium for savoring the present, honoring origin, and remembering that process is the soul of flavor.

We roast to express respect:
